Webhooks deliver cryptographically signed JSON payloads to your configured HTTPS listener endpoint within milliseconds.
Core Architecture & Principles
- Event Subscriptions: Subscribe to `order.created`, `order.paid`, `order.dispatched`, `order.delivered`, and `dispute.opened`.
- HMAC Signature Verification: Verify `X-ePaisay-Signature` header using your webhook secret to ensure payload authenticity.
- Automated Retry Logic: Exponential backoff retries with up to 5 attempts if your server responds with non-2xx status codes.
Operational Process & Execution Flow
Endpoint Registration
Provide your secure HTTPS listener URL inside Developer Settings > Webhooks.
Event Selection
Select specific event topics you want forwarded to your backend application.
Test Delivery
Click 'Send Test Payload' and inspect the received JSON body in your server logs.
HTTPS Requirement
Webhook destinations must support TLS 1.2 or higher with valid SSL certificates. Plaintext HTTP endpoints are rejected.
